The elaborate pictures capture the help convey the joy and excitement surrounding this special time of the year. Even more specifically, there is a section where the author explains how to make lanterns, bake fortune cookies, and play holiday games.

"Celebrate Chinese New Year" would be a good book chose when teach any unit concerning culture differences. This could be specifically during the holiday season when difference among students could be even more apparent. Reading this book would serve as a great way to spotlight and show appreciation for the Chinese culture, and maybe even a student in the classroom's beliefs.
